Mass and a Movie - Gran Torino:

Our movie series continues with a screening of the 2008 film 'Gran Torino'. A bitter and bigoted retired auto-worker (played by Clint Eastwood), mourning the death of his wife and his blue-collar way of life, finds himself being shaken back to life by his new neighbors. This film speaks to issues of racism, generational change, the plight of our rust belt cities, and the economic future of the U.S. The screening will be followed by a twenty minute guided discussion of the issues raised by the film. The Movie will be shown in the lower church at 6:00pm, following the 5:00 Mass. The movie and refreshments are free, but reservations are requested.
