HELP (Help Ease Local Povery): HELP is a consortium of business, residential, religious, social service, institutional and volunteer leaders striving to promote an atmosphere of dignity and compassion toward those in need by providing access to food, health services, shelter and employment. HighSight: HIGHSIGHT is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships, tutoring, mentoring and leadership development for students to attend and succeed at private high schools in Chicago. There are currently 128 students in 24 high schools who receive financial, academic and social support from HighSight. See the HighSight website for more details: http://www.highsight.org
Insight Mentor Service: St. Joseph’s School is looking for tutor mentors. Insight Tutor Mentor Program for elementary school children. Tutoring Sessions are on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM @ St. Joseph School - 1065 N. Orleans.

Jail Ministry: Dr. Christie Billups, one of our Lenten speakers, writes to ask Assumption parishioners to consider
joining her in another of her ministries, Kolbe House Jail Ministry of the Archdiocese of Chicago. Lay
persons work alongside priests and deacons in offering friendship, hope, and spiritual nourishment to
the 10,000 men and women in Cook County jails, 1000 in Lake County, and 500 young people in Cook
County Juvenile Detention Center. To find out the various ways you can help, call Christie or Fr. Arturo

Knit Caps for the Needy: Assumption collects knit caps for the needy each December. Watch for announcements
on this website and in the parish bulletin on the annual collection program.
Suppers for the Needy: Assumption hosts suppers for the needy several times a year at the Catholic Charities Facility
at 721 N. LaSalle Street. Help is needed to serve these meals from 4:00 PM until 6:15 PM.
