Faith Formation

Assumption offers a number of opportunities for adult faith development. There is a weekly Bible Study and a noonday scripture discussion group. There is a community of the Servite Secular Order at Assumption. We have a monthly series Mass and a Movie and a Lenten series called Evenings of Faith. There are also various talks and lectures scheduled from time to time by visiting speakers and an occasional series on the fundamentals of the Catholic faith. For persons interested in becoming Catholic, there is an adult catechumenate. Assumption is part of a collaborative program in the faith formation of children centered at St. Joseph Church (North Orleans).
