On this last Sunday of Advent consider commandments 9 and 10. They speak of coveting, an uncommon word. It means to yearn for something with an extremeness of desire that becomes idolatry. This week examine your relationship with people and to things. Instaed of longing consider in what ways you are rich! In memories, freedom, friendships, love, family? Is it a challenge to appreciate what you have when you see others with so much more?

Challenge: Reflect on the things that really matter in life like your belief in God, a beautiful flower, a breathtaking vista, breath itself. They are freely given as gifts to us from a loving God.
