We will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary at all our weekend Masses, as we honor Assumption's 145 years of service to the people of Chicago and River North and the anniversary of the dedication of our church building in 1886. | Welcoming New Catholics | |
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is for those over the age of 18 who have never been baptized, were baptized Catholic but received little or no religious formation and for those baptized in another Christian faith and want to explore becoming Catholic. The group meets on Sunday mornings beginning in September. Those who choose to continue with the process would receive their Sacraments at the first Mass of Easter. Call Fr. Joe for more information. There will be an information session about OCIA on Sunday, August 30 at 11:30 in the rectory. |

On May 16, Assumption's Young Adults prepared bag lunches for the homeless and needy. AYA takes part in a number of service, social, and spiritual activities during the year.
